The second most important reason to use Ranked Choice Voting in presidential elections is that with the current Electoral College/Winner-Take-All system if one party splits its vote with a third party candidate the winning party will be the one with the fewest votes.
This happened in the 2000 presidential election in Florida when George Bush won by only 537 votes. But the liberals split their vote between the Democratic candidate Al Gore and the Green Party candidate Ralph Nader. If we had Ranked Choice Voting in 2000 and the 97,000 voters for Ralph Nader had marked their 2nd choice for the Democrat Al Gore, their most likely option, Al Gore would have become president.
All U.S. Citizens Should Vote. 
And the world would have been saved! Literally.
