Ranked Choice Voting gives Independents and Third Party voters an equal voice in our democracy.

With Ranked Choice Voting you can have your cake and eat it too. You can vote for an Independent or Third Party candidate for president that you want to win as your first choice, even though you will be throwing your vote away if your candidate doesn’t win the election in your state under the Electoral College/Winner-Take-All system.

But if you vote for the “lessor of two evils” of the two major party candidates as your 2nd or 3rd choice vote you can vote for who you really want to win as your first choice but still have your vote count with your 2nd or 3rd choice vote for the “lessor of two evils”.

And who knows? With Ranked Choice Voting your vote will always count and may actually help decide which major political party candidate wins, even if they were not your first choice, while at the same time letting the whole world know who you really wanted to win.
